Following recent threats made to fellow actor Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan received a death threat through a phone call. The threat call, reportedly made by a man named Faizan from Chhattisgarh's Raipur, demanded a ransom of ₹50 lakhs. The caller explicitly threatened Shah Rukh Khan's life if the payment was not made. Based on this information, a case has been registered at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai against the unknown individual responsible for making the threat call.
The Mumbai Police, determined to investigate the matter thoroughly, have dispatched a team to Raipur to gather further evidence and pursue the investigation. While no arrests have been made yet, the police have registered a case under sections 308(4) (extortion involving threats of death or serious injury) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharaitya Nyaya Sanhita. The incident comes just after the arrest of Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi for sending a threatening message to Salman Khan, demanding ₹5 crore through the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline.
