In the past, the BJP has successfully consolidated various caste and social groups, shifting the focus away from traditionally dominant castes. This strategy proved effective in Haryana, securing three consecutive victories. However, Maharashtra's political landscape presents a more intricate challenge, with its larger size, greater diversity, and numerous political players with limited ideological distinctions.
One of the key obstacles for the BJP in Maharashtra is the presence of a powerful Maratha-Muslim bloc.
