India Crushes Thailand in Women’s Asian Hockey

The Indian women's hockey team showcased a dominant performance against Thailand, securing a resounding 13-0 victory in their third group stage match of the Bihar Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Rajgir 2024. This victory solidified India's position in the tournament, marking their third consecutive win. The match was a display of exceptional skill and teamwork from the Indian side, with Deepika leading the charge with an impressive five goals.

Deepika's performance was not only remarkable for the number of goals she scored but also for the significance of the match. She found the back of the net in the 3rd, 19th, 43rd, 45th, and 45+1st minutes. This dominant display cemented her position as a key player for the Indian team. Other notable contributions came from Preeti Dubey, who marked her 50th cap for India by scoring twice in the 9th and 40th minutes. Lalremsiami also celebrated her 150th appearance for the Indian Women’s Hockey Team with a brace of her own, scoring in the 12th and 56th minutes. Beauty Dungdung added a goal in the 30th minute, while Navneet Kaur (53’) and Manisha Chauhan (55’, 58’) contributed to the team's victory with two goals each.

India's performance against Thailand demonstrated their superior skills and strategies. This win follows their earlier victories against Malaysia (5-0) and South Korea (3-2). While Thailand faced a tough opening match against China, losing 15-0, they managed to secure a point against Japan.
