Drunk Mercedes Driver Kills Woman in Bengaluru

A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru, India, on November 2nd, leaving one woman dead and another injured. The incident involved a speeding Mercedes Benz driven by a 20-year-old, Dhanush, who was under the influence of alcohol. The driver's reckless actions resulted in the death of Sandhya AS, a 30-year-old woman who was attempting to cross the road near the Kengeri Traffic and Transit Management Centre (TTMC).

According to reports, Dhanush had consumed alcohol beyond permissible limits, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. He rammed into Sandhya while she was crossing the road. Despite the severity of the collision, Dhanush did not stop. He continued driving recklessly on the busy Mysuru Road, ultimately crashing into a 23-year-old biker named Syed Arbaz. Syed suffered minor injuries.

Both victims were transported to the hospital, but Sandhya was tragically declared dead upon arrival. Dhanush was apprehended by the Bengaluru police, who responded swiftly to the scene. A subsequent alcometer test confirmed that he had a blood alcohol content of 177 mg/100 ml, significantly higher than the legal limit of 30 mg/100 ml. This confirmed his state of intoxication at the time of the accidents.
