A tragic accident in Dehradun claimed the lives of six young friends, leaving a community in shock and mourning. The incident, which occurred on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, involved a high-speed car chase that ended in a devastating collision. The Toyota Innova, carrying seven individuals under the age of 25, was reportedly engaged in a race with a BMW at speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour before the fatal crash.

According to sources, the SUV approached the ONGC intersection without slowing down, oblivious to the potential danger. As a truck traversed the intersection, the Innova rear-ended it with immense force. The impact was catastrophic, tearing off the roof of the SUV and severing the heads of two victims. The remaining passengers were found crushed inside the wreckage, with body parts scattered across the road.

The victims were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). Five of them were Dehradun residents, while Kukreja hailed from Himachal Pradesh. The sole survivor, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), is in critical condition at Synergy Hospital. He had allegedly hosted a party to celebrate his new car, which may have been a contributing factor to the events that led to the tragedy.

Unverified videos surfaced online showing the victims drinking, further fueling speculation about their state of mind prior to the accident. Police are still investigating the details of the chase, including the speed of the vehicles, the location of the party, and whether alcohol played a role in the incident. The victims were students at a private college, and authorities are working to determine their intended destination and the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
