The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a firm denial of circulating reports regarding changes to the board examination system for Classes 10 and 12 in the 2025 session. These reports, circulating on various online platforms and newspapers, alleged a 15% reduction in the syllabus and the introduction of open-book examinations for select subjects. However, CBSE has categorically stated that no such changes have been implemented.
In a statement released on November 14, 2024, the board emphasized that its examination and internal assessment systems remain unchanged. CBSE clarified that it has not issued any official notification regarding the alleged changes, deeming the circulating news as baseless and misleading. The board reiterated that all official updates and policy changes are communicated exclusively through its official website and circulars.
The board further advised students, parents, and other stakeholders to rely solely on the official CBSE website (https://www.cbse.gov.in) for accurate and updated information regarding examinations and policies. They urged the public to disregard misleading news and rumors, emphasizing that such misinformation can cause unnecessary confusion and anxiety. For any further queries or updates, stakeholders are encouraged to visit the official website or contact the board directly through verified channels.
