As the concert, part of his “Dil-Luminati India Tour 2024,” commenced at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goyal found himself caught in the overwhelming traffic congestion. This prompted him to abandon his vehicle and walk the final stretch of his journey, sharing his experience on social media with a video showing the bumper-to-bumper traffic and the caption, “Walking the last mile to the JLN stadium for Diljit. Sooooo much traffic.”
The impact of the massive crowd attracted by Dosanjh's concert was not limited to Goyal's journey. Many fans also reported enduring lengthy delays and traffic jams as they tried to reach the stadium. The usual 15-minute commute for some fans was extended to nearly two hours due to the traffic congestion. Despite Delhi Police deploying over 3,000 officers, including plainclothes officers and CCTV cameras, to manage the crowd and ensure safety, fans still faced long queues outside the stadium, stretching for kilometers.
