UAE Kids Own jiohotstar.com Domain, Inspire Kindness
  • Two UAE siblings, Jainam and Jivika, purchased the jiohotstar.com domain.
  • The siblings purchased the domain from a Delhi-based developer for his benefit.
  • They plan to use the website to share memories from their Seva journey.

The story of the jiohotstar.com domain took a surprising turn when two UAE-based siblings, Jainam and Jivika, claimed ownership of the website. This development followed a previous claim by a Delhi-based app developer who sought a hefty Rs 1 crore from Reliance Industries for the domain rights. He claimed he wanted the money to fund his studies abroad and expressed disappointment when Reliance did not accept his demand.

The developer's messages on the website vanished, replaced by a message from Jainam and Jivika, who introduced themselves as siblings from Dubai on a mission to make a difference. They explained that their recent journey to India was a “Seva” journey, focusing on connecting with children from various backgrounds, sharing their love for learning, teaching skills for studying and setting goals, and inspiring them to dream big. They emphasized that their goal was to spread kindness and positivity, showcasing the power of their journey through photos, videos, and stories on the website.

Jainam and Jivika used a portion of the donations they received during their travels to support the young software developer by purchasing the jiohotstar.com domain. They stated that they aimed to inspire others with their journey and keep the domain open for future sale to anyone who wishes to continue their mission of spreading positivity. They also highlighted their passion for new challenges, encouraging others to step out of their comfort zones.

Meanwhile, on Reddit, users speculated about the future of the domain, with some estimating that even a sale at 1/10th of the original asking price would yield a significant sum for the original owner. Others questioned whether Reliance would even use the domain name or opt for an alternative like Jiostar.com.

Beyond the domain ownership, the siblings also showcased their own aspirations. They highlighted their existing YouTube channel, initially focused on toy unboxing videos and family fun content, but later shifted to science content. Their next big step is launching a podcast, featuring interviews with celebrities, further solidifying their commitment to creating engaging content.
