Two soldiers and two porters lost their lives in a terror attack that took place in Baramulla, further highlighting the ongoing security challenges. The Indian Army's Chinar Corps confirmed an exchange of fire between soldiers and terrorists in the general area of Baramulla's Butapathri. Earlier, a labourer, Pritam Singh, was shot at and injured in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the violence. This attack comes less than 72 hours after another incident where terrorists targeted a housing camp for construction workers.
The attack on the housing camp, which claimed the lives of six construction workers and a doctor, serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities of civilian populations caught in the crossfire of terrorism. The terrorists, who were identified as at least two individuals, left behind an INSAS rifle, indicating their organized nature and intent.
