As the corridor ended, the dog turned right, and Kumar attempted to follow, but lost his footing and fell through an open window.

The fall resulted in Kumar's death on the spot. His body was taken to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy. The Chandanagar police have registered a case regarding the incident.
