The tragic murder of Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, has sent shockwaves through the state. Siddique was fatally shot outside his son's office in Bandra East, three days prior to the release of this video. This video captures the arrest of one of the alleged shooters, Dharamraj Kashyap, providing a glimpse into the aftermath of the crime. The video shows Kashyap being apprehended by police officers, his hands raised behind his head, as he is escorted down a pathway. The voices of the officers are also heard discussing a bag found on one of the shooters, indicating that the investigation is ongoing.
The arrest of Kashyap, along with another suspect, Gurmail Baljit Singh, came swiftly after the murder. However, a third suspect, Shiv Kumar Gautam, remains at large. The investigation has revealed that the alleged shooters claimed affiliation with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated in Gujarat's Sabarmati jail. This claim was further corroborated by a social media post made on the handle of Shubuu Lonkar, believed to be a Bishnoi gang associate, Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, in which responsibility for the murder was taken. The police have since arrested Pravin Lonkar, Shubham's brother, who is suspected of writing the post and being involved in the conspiracy.
The murder of Baba Siddique has sparked concern about the prevalence of gang violence in the region. The incident has also brought into question the security measures surrounding high-profile individuals, with security around Salman Khan's residence being bolstered following the incident.
