Samson's Century Powers India to Victory
  • Sanju Samson hits a 40-ball century
  • India wins the toss and elects to bat
  • Mahmudullah retires from T20I cricket

The third T20I between India and Bangladesh witnessed a blistering performance from Sanju Samson, who smashed a 40-ball century to power India to a resounding victory. The match was a showcase of aggressive batting and strategic gameplay, leaving the spectators on the edge of their seats.

India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and opted to bat first. The Indian openers, Samson and Abhishek, got off to a fiery start, putting together a 82-run partnership in the powerplay. Samson, in particular, was in a destructive mood, smashing five sixes in an over off Rishad Hossain. He reached his half-century in just 22 balls and then went on to achieve the historic milestone of a century in just 40 deliveries, becoming the fastest Indian to reach the landmark in T20Is. Yadav also contributed significantly with a quickfire 23-ball fifty.

The Bangladesh bowlers were completely outplayed by the Indian batters, who seemed to have no trouble in hitting boundaries at will. Bangladesh's bowling attack, lacking in pace and accuracy, found it difficult to contain the onslaught. However, the match also marked the retirement of former Bangladesh skipper, Mahmudullah, from T20I cricket. The 38-year-old veteran decided to focus his attention on the ODI format. Despite a disappointing series for Bangladesh, the final T20I will be remembered for Samson's incredible century and Mahmudullah's farewell from the shortest format of the game.
