Salman Khan Assassination Plot: Rs 25 Lakh Contract, Weapons From Pakistan
  • Salman Khan was targeted for assassination.
  • A Rs 25 lakh contract was taken out.
  • Weapons were sourced from Pakistan.

A chilling plot to assassinate Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been unveiled in a chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai Police. The chargesheet, naming five individuals, alleges that a contract worth Rs 25 lakh was orchestrated to eliminate the actor near his farmhouse in Panvel, Maharashtra. The masterminds behind the assassination plot are believed to be members of the notorious gang led by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The alleged assassins were in the process of acquiring a cache of high-powered weaponry, including AK-47s, AK 92s, M 16s from Pakistan and the Turkish-made Zigana weapon – the same type used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. These individuals had even recruited minors, under the age of 18, to execute the hit, with these young accomplices currently hiding in various locations across Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is alarming to note that the alleged assassins were meticulously monitoring Salman Khan's movements, particularly at his residences in Bandra and Panvel and his frequent visits to Goregaon Film City. The chargesheet indicates that the planning for the assassination spanned several months, from August 2023 to April 2024.

The investigation revealed that a key figure, Sukkha, arrested in Haryana's Panipat, delegated the task of carrying out the assassination to Ajay Kashyap, alias AK, and four other individuals involved in the conspiracy. Recognizing the actor's robust security detail and the use of bulletproof vehicles, Kashyap and his team concluded that sophisticated weaponry would be essential for a successful hit. Sukkha, in an unsettling turn of events, engaged in a video call with Dogar, an arms dealer based in Pakistan. During the call, Sukkha displayed the AK-47 and other advanced firearms, shrouded in a shawl, while negotiating the terms of the arms deal. Dogar readily agreed to supply the weapons, demanding a 50% advance payment with the balance due upon delivery in India.

The chargesheet further reveals that the would-be assassins were awaiting the green light from Goldie Brar, a gangster operating from Canada, and Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, before executing their plan. The alleged plot involved a chilling escape route: after shooting the 58-year-old actor, the assassins would gather in Kanyakumari, then board a boat to Sri Lanka, and ultimately reach a country beyond the reach of Indian investigative agencies. The conspiracy to target Salman Khan at his Panvel farmhouse came to light during the police's investigation into an incident of firing outside his Bandra residence. This incident underscores the gravity of the threat posed to the actor and highlights the meticulous planning and execution of the alleged assassination attempt.

In the wake of the assassination plot revelation, security has been significantly heightened outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence. This heightened security measure comes in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of former minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, a former MLA from Bandra and a prominent figure in Ajit Pawar's faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), who was shot near Nirmal Nagar in Bandra. The series of incidents has shaken the city and raised concerns about the security of prominent individuals. The chargesheet in this case, along with the recent killing of Baba Siddique, underlines the need for robust security measures and proactive efforts to dismantle criminal networks involved in organized crime and violence.
