Saini Sworn in as Haryana CM after BJP Victory
  • Nayab Singh Saini sworn in as Haryana CM
  • BJP secured hat-trick victory in state elections
  • Saini won Ladwa constituency by a large margin

Nayab Singh Saini, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second time, marking a significant political event in the state. The ceremony was a grand affair, attended by prominent figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states. The event was held in Panchkula, with extensive security arrangements in place to accommodate the anticipated crowd of over 50,000 people.

Saini's ascension to the Chief Minister position comes after the BJP secured a historic hat-trick victory in the recent assembly elections. The party defied exit polls that had predicted a return to power for the opposition Congress, instead staging a remarkable turnaround to win 48 out of the 90 seats in the state assembly. This victory solidified the BJP's dominance in Haryana, further strengthening its position in the national political landscape.

Saini's own electoral success was decisive. He won the Ladwa assembly constituency by a comfortable margin, defeating his Congress opponent Mewa Singh by over 16,000 votes. This victory was a testament to his popularity and the public's trust in his leadership. The BJP's triumph was further bolstered by the support of three Independent MLAs, including Savitri Jindal from Hisar, who pledged their support to the party, ensuring a stable majority in the assembly.
