On its first day, "Vettaiyan" garnered approximately Rs 30 crore nett in India, as per initial estimates. The film's primary market performance is spearheaded by the Tamil Nadu region, where it earned around Rs 26.15 crore. The Telugu version contributed Rs 3.2 crore, while the Hindi version brought in around Rs 0.6 crore. The Kannada version saw a minor contribution of Rs 0.05 crore.
