The highly anticipated 'Pushpa' franchise, known for its action-packed narrative and captivating performances, has stirred excitement among fans by hinting at a potential third installment. The first film, 'Pushpa: The Rise' (2021), starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Sunil, captivated audiences with its compelling story of a low-wage laborer's rise within the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The film's success paved the way for the sequel, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' set to hit theaters worldwide on December 5, 2024.
While anticipation runs high for the second installment, the makers have hinted at the possibility of continuing the saga with a third film. During a press conference, producer Y Ravi Shankar expressed their desire to explore a 'Pushpa 3' if 'Pushpa 2' receives the same level of acclaim as its predecessor. The franchise is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar, and Mohan Cherkuri under the banner Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings.
Producer Naveen Yerneni further elaborated in an interview with NDTV English, revealing that the plot for 'Pushpa 3' is already in place. The team, however, is cautiously awaiting the response to the second installment before making a definitive decision regarding the third part.
