The recent elections in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) have resulted in a victory for the National Conference (NC) alliance, paving the way for Omar Abdullah to lead the new government. Following the electoral success, Omar Abdullah was formally chosen as the leader of the NC Legislature Party, marking a significant step towards forming the government.
The NC's victory was secured with the backing of four independent MLAs, who pledged their support to the party.
