A tragic incident unfolded in Hyderabad, India, when a 23-year-old man, identified as Uday, lost his life after falling from the third floor of a hotel while pursuing a dog. The incident occurred at the VV Pride Hotel, located within the jurisdiction of the Chanda Nagar Police Station. Uday, who had travelled to Hyderabad with his family from Ashok Nagar, Ramachandrapuram, had booked a room at the hotel on Sunday to spend time with his friends.
The unfortunate incident unfolded around 12:30 am on Monday, while Uday was on the balcony of his third-floor room. Spotting a dog roaming the corridors, he impulsively chased after it. The video footage of the incident reveals that Uday was moving from one end of the balcony to the other, attempting to catch the dog. During this pursuit, he inadvertently slipped and fell through an open section of the window, unable to control his momentum.
The severity of the fall left Uday with critical injuries. Despite the immediate efforts of his friends to rush him to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His body was subsequently transported to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The incident has raised concerns about how the dog managed to access the third floor of the hotel. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage of the area as part of their investigation.
