The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently captivated the city of Chennai with a spectacular aerial display that showcased the prowess and maneuverability of its aircraft. The event, held on a sultry Sunday, drew thousands of spectators to the iconic Marina beach, where they witnessed the IAF's impressive array of aircraft, including the Rafale fighter jet, roar into action. The air show was part of the IAF's 92nd anniversary celebrations and was held in Chennai after a gap of 21 years.

The air show commenced with a daring demonstration by the Special Garud Force commandos. The commandos displayed their skills in a simulated rescue operation, captivating the audience with their precision and bravery. Para jump instructors made accurate landings on the target area, while commandos swiftly navigated their way to the target, showcasing their expertise in hostage rescue scenarios. The display highlighted the IAF's commitment to preparedness and readiness for various contingencies.

The main attraction of the air show was the impressive array of IAF aircraft, including the supersonic fighter jets Rafale, Tejas, SU-30, and Sarang. The Rafale jets, known for their advanced technology and capabilities, performed breathtaking maneuvers, including aerial refuelling demonstrations, while the Tejas, India's indigenously manufactured Light Combat Aircraft, showcased its agility and prowess. The Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet performed the “Loop-tumble-yaw” maneuver, while the Sarang helicopter display team delivered a stunning finale, demonstrating the IAF's capabilities in air combat and support operations.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, and Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin. The air show was a testament to the IAF's commitment to upholding national security and its dedication to technological advancement. The event served as a platform to showcase the IAF's strength and capabilities to the public, fostering a sense of pride and patriotism.
