Flipkart Delivery Agent Murdered in Lucknow
  • Flipkart delivery agent murdered in Lucknow.
  • Strangled with laptop charger, body dumped.
  • Accused arrested, phones recovered.

A chilling incident unfolded in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where a Flipkart delivery agent, Bharat Kumar, met a gruesome end. The 30-year-old was allegedly strangled to death with a laptop charger cord after he went to deliver two smartphones worth Rs 90,000, ordered on Cash on Delivery. This tragic event highlights the vulnerabilities faced by delivery personnel and the increasing prevalence of violent crimes in India. The perpetrators, Gajanan and his accomplice Akash, lured Kumar to their house under the pretense of a delivery, only to brutally take his life in a cold-blooded act of greed.

According to the police, the accused strangled Kumar with a laptop charger cord and stuffed his body into his own delivery bag before dumping it into a canal in Lucknow. This act of violence speaks volumes about the callous nature of the crime. The fact that the assailants used the victim's own bag to dispose of his body demonstrates a chilling disregard for human life. This case also raises concerns about the safety and security of delivery agents who are often vulnerable targets for criminals.

The police investigation revealed that Akash had placed the order for the two smartphones – a Vivo V40 Pro and a Google Pixel 7 Pro – using the cash-on-delivery option. Akash Sharma was subsequently arrested and confessed to the crime. The two phones and Kumar's motorbike have also been recovered. The gruesome details of the murder, coupled with the cold-blooded manner in which the perpetrators disposed of the victim's body, have sent shockwaves through the community. This case underscores the need for stricter security measures for delivery personnel and enhanced law enforcement efforts to combat crime in India.
