Despite a historic 800-plus first-innings total in the opening Test, England faltered against Pakistan's revamped lineup and the turning pitches in Multan and Rawalpindi.
Pakistan's spin bowlers Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were instrumental in England's downfall, claiming a combined 39 out of 40 English wickets. The duo's bowling transformed the series, limiting England to just 814 runs across four innings. McCullum praised the Pakistani spinners, highlighting their ability to vary pace and create pressure. He lamented England's inability to withstand this pressure, noting the team's struggle to adapt to the conditions.
England's batting woes, particularly those of Ollie Pope, Zak Crawley, and Harry Brook, exposed a lack of adaptability under pressure.
