A mysterious blast rocked the Prashant Vihar area in Delhi's Rohini on Sunday morning, sending shockwaves through the community and raising concerns about security. The incident occurred near a CRPF school, fortunately resulting in no injuries, according to officials from the Delhi Fire Services. The blast, however, left its mark on the surrounding environment, damaging the school wall, nearby shops, and a car.

The blast, reported at 7:50 am, triggered a swift response from emergency services. Fire engines, bomb squads, and police forensic teams rushed to the scene near the CRPF school in Sector 14, Rohini. Senior police officers, including those from the crime branch and the Special Cell, also arrived to investigate the incident.

Initial reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) suggest that the material responsible for the blast appeared to be a crude bomb. However, a thorough investigation is ongoing to confirm the nature of the explosive device. The Special Cell of the Delhi Police terror unit also joined the investigation, but sources indicated that no terror angle had been found thus far. The FSL team will provide the final determination in this regard.

The police are investigating the incident from all angles, including the possibility that a firecracker may have caused the blast. The forensic team and crime unit are meticulously collecting samples from the blast location to analyze the evidence. CCTV footage is also being reviewed as part of the investigation. The crime scene has been cordoned off, and the fire brigade remains on site.

The incident has raised concerns about safety and security in the area, particularly amidst a recent wave of bomb threats directed at numerous flights. Over 70 flights have been grounded or diverted in the past six days due to these threats. The authorities are working diligently to address these security concerns and ensure the safety of the public.
