CPM Accused of Forging Documents in ADM Death Case
  • Opposition leader V D Satheesan accused CPM of forging documents to protect Divya.
  • Satheesan alleges a conspiracy to portray the ADM as corrupt and protect Divya.
  • Satheesan questioned how Prasanthan acquired funds and who he is a benami for.

The death of ADM Naveen Babu has sparked controversy and raised serious allegations against the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) in Kerala. Opposition leader V D Satheesan has accused the CPM of engaging in a cover-up operation to protect former district panchayat president P P Divya, who is implicated in the incident. Satheesan's strong statements highlight a growing political storm surrounding Babu's tragic demise.

Satheesan pointed out the unusual silence from the Chief Minister's office regarding Babu's death, despite the incident occurring in the CM's district and involving a prominent CPM functionary. This perceived lack of response, according to Satheesan, reflects an attempt to shield Divya from scrutiny. He further alleged that a fake document was created by the CPM after Babu's death to protect Divya. This document, purportedly a land document and complaint, was discovered to be fabricated with different names and signatures. This alleged forgery, Satheesan contends, is a deliberate attempt to portray Babu as corrupt and deflect blame from Divya.

Satheesan also raised questions about the collector's role in the matter, highlighting inconsistencies in Divya's claims regarding her presence at a farewell event organized by the department. He believes that a larger conspiracy was at play to humiliate the ADM and that Divya's public insults were not an isolated incident. This accusation of a calculated conspiracy adds a layer of complexity to the case and raises concerns about the extent of the CPM's involvement.

The opposition leader characterized the attempt to tarnish Babu's reputation after his death as a more heinous act than the initial incident. He criticized the effort to not only discredit Babu but also to insult his family. He emphasized the opposition's close monitoring of the investigation and vowed to vehemently oppose any attempts to dilute it. Satheesan also questioned the source of Prasanthan's wealth, who is alleged to have been involved in the incident and is an electrician at Pariyaram Medical College. He demanded an investigation into Prasanthan's financial dealings and the possibility of him being a benami for some CPM leader.

This incident has ignited political tensions in Kerala. Satheesan's allegations against the CPM and his demand for a transparent investigation have placed significant pressure on the ruling party. The CPM's response to these accusations and the subsequent investigation will be crucial in determining the extent of their involvement and the true circumstances surrounding Babu's death.
