The All India Milli Council Telangana has raised serious concerns over the alarming increase in communal incidents across the state, particularly in Hyderabad. The recent incident involving the desecration of the Muthyalamma Temple in Secunderabad has ignited widespread outrage and condemnation from various groups, including the Council. The Council strongly believes that these incidents are a grave threat to the fragile communal harmony that exists in the region and demands immediate action to address the issue.

In a formal statement, the Council asserted that such acts of vandalism and religious intolerance cannot be tolerated. It urged law enforcement agencies to launch prompt and thorough investigations to identify and apprehend those responsible for the desecration of the temple. The Council expressed its unwavering commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators face the full weight of the law, advocating for a just and equitable legal process.

Beyond the Secunderabad incident, the Council highlighted the recent communal violence in Jainoor, Asifabad district, which has resulted in significant hardship for the local population. The violence has led to disruptions in livelihoods, economic setbacks, and a prolonged internet shutdown, further exacerbating the struggles of the community. The Council expressed solidarity with the affected community, reaffirming its dedication to promoting peace and harmony across the region.

Mufti Omar Abideen, General Secretary of the All India Milli Council Telangana, stressed the urgent need for the Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana to take decisive action against those involved in these incidents. He emphasized that restoring normalcy and preventing further escalation of communal tension is paramount. Abideen highlighted the need for effective measures to curb acts of violence and divisive narratives that promote communalism.
