Congress Connection in Delhi Drug Bust

Congress Connection in Delhi Drug Bust
  • Drug kingpin arrested in Delhi
  • Former Congress worker linked to bust
  • Cocaine smuggled from various states

A major drug bust in Delhi has revealed a shocking connection to the Congress party, with the alleged kingpin, Tushar Goyal, having served as the chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress's RTI cell until 2022. Goyal, who used the alias "Dikki Goyal" on social media, was arrested alongside three others following the seizure of over 500 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana, worth over Rs 5,600 crore. The bust, which took place in south Delhi on Wednesday, is considered the largest drug seizure in the city's history.

Goyal's past association with the Congress party has raised significant questions about the potential involvement of political figures in the drug trafficking operation. Photographs found on his social media profile depict him alongside prominent Congress leaders, including Lok Sabha MP Deepender Singh Hooda and Haryana unit chief Uday Bhan. Additionally, Goyal is pictured with Haryana BJP leader Anil Jain and former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, raising concerns about the extent of his connections within the political sphere.

The investigation, led by the Delhi Police, has revealed that the cocaine was smuggled into Delhi by road from various states, while the marijuana originated from Phuket, Thailand. The accused are suspected to have used cryptocurrency to evade detection by law enforcement agencies. Sources close to the investigation have also implicated a Dubai-based businessman in the cocaine shipment, suggesting that the drug syndicate was targeting high-profile parties in the capital. The Delhi Police is currently working to track down and apprehend all suspects involved in this drug syndicate.
