Baba Siddique's Son Also On Hit-List, Shooters Tell Cops
  • Baba Siddique, a politician, was shot dead in Mumbai.
  • His son, Zeeshan Siddique, is also on the hit-list.
  • Shooters were told to kill both father and son.

The recent assassination of veteran politician Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai has sent shockwaves through the city, and now, a chilling revelation has emerged: his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui, is also on the hit-list of the Bishnoi gang. Police sources have revealed that the shooters, apprehended after the murder, confessed to being hired to kill both Baba Siddique and his son. The contract, they claimed, explicitly targeted both father and son, and the shooters were instructed to eliminate them together if possible. However, if such an opportunity did not arise, they were ordered to kill whomever they could find first.

The assassination took place on Saturday night outside Zeeshan Siddiqui's office. The assailants threw chili powder at the police constable guarding the premises before carrying out the murder. Three shooters were involved in the crime, and two of them - Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana and Dharmaraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh - have been apprehended by the authorities. The third shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, managed to escape the scene and was last sighted near Panvel. Multiple police teams have been deployed in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi in an attempt to locate and arrest him. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police's Anti-Extortion Cell is conducting an in-depth investigation into the case.

Further investigation has revealed that the accused individuals resided in Kurla, from where they regularly traveled to Bandra in auto rickshaws, frequently scouting locations frequented by Baba Siddiqui and his son. Their surveillance included areas surrounding their residence, office, and events they attended. This meticulous planning and tracking of the victims' movements highlight the calculated nature of the crime, as the assailants meticulously prepared for their deadly mission. The Bishnoi gang, notorious for its criminal activities, has become a major concern for law enforcement agencies across India. This incident underscores the need for heightened security measures and proactive investigations to prevent future acts of violence and ensure the safety of prominent individuals.
