The much-anticipated film 'The Greatest of All Time' (GOAT), starring Tamil cinema's popular actor 'Thalapathy' Vijay, has had a resounding start at the box office, demonstrating the actor's enduring popularity. The film, which released on Thursday, has already earned a substantial Rs 31.47 crore in India on its opening day, according to early estimates from Sacnilk. The film's success is evident in the impressive occupancy rates across Tamil Nadu. The overall occupancy rate on Thursday stood at 73.19%, with evening shows recording the highest at 78.36%. Notably, Chennai theatres were packed, with a remarkable 99% occupancy for the film's 731 shows. Similar success was noted in Pondicherry, where the film had 32 shows, and in Madurai, where it enjoyed 91% occupancy across 188 shows.
