Ritu Rathee, wife of popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, better known as 'Flying Beast,' has addressed the swirling rumors of infidelity and separation surrounding their marriage. In a candid and emotional Instagram video, Rathee acknowledged the challenges they have faced, admitting to seeking guidance from spiritual guru Premanand Govind Sharan. However, she vehemently denied being a victim, emphasizing her strength and independence.
The video, titled “Reality,” starts with Rathee confirming that she is the woman heard in a viral clip seeking spiritual guidance. She takes a defiant stance against those who have labeled her as an ‘abla nari’ (helpless woman). “Am I an abla nari? No, I am not. Reality check: The maid who comes to your house is abla nari. She faces countless hardships in her home. I really wish you would go to her house, help resolve her issues, and tell her, ‘We are in your army,’” she stated, pointing out the societal injustice faced by women who are often deemed helpless.
Rathee further highlighted her own strength, declaring, “I am capable of nurturing my children.” She acknowledged the role Taneja has played in shaping her: “….the same man during these eight years made me equally capable that I can nurture my children alone.” She then poses a poignant question, “How many men in India have made their wives equally capable?” This statement underscores her ability to navigate life independently, challenging the notion that she is solely dependent on her husband.
Rathee addressed the viral video of her seeking spiritual guidance, explaining it was a personal moment of vulnerability. “Has there ever been a time when you’ve laid your pain, doubts, or dilemmas before your God? Even I did. It was a personal question,” she expressed, emphasizing the private nature of her seeking spiritual comfort. She further clarified that she doesn't need validation from anyone about her choices, stating, “If I wanted to make it public, my dear Ritu’s army, I have Instagram to announce it.”
Rathee delved into the complexities of their relationship, acknowledging that their marriage, like any other, has faced challenges. “There are many things that can sting between a husband and wife. Something must have happened. It hurt him this time, and it hurt me too. He thought he was right, and I thought I was right. He became stubborn, and so did I,” she confessed, revealing the emotional turmoil they have experienced. However, she fiercely rejects the label of “victim,” refusing to let the public judge Taneja’s character. “But does that mean that you will tell me what kind of a man he was? I know that man inside out. I don’t need to hear about his principles from you. I don’t need to hear from you whether he is genuine, whether he was loyal. I have seen him go through every situation,” she asserted.
Rathee’s statement reflects a powerful message of self-reliance and the right to privacy. She highlights the societal tendency to pry into others’ lives, often neglecting their own issues. She emphasizes that her decision to seek guidance from a spiritual leader was personal, and her strength and independence are not tied to the outcome of her marriage. Rathee’s video serves as a reminder that individual lives, especially those under public scrutiny, should be treated with sensitivity and respect. The complexities of a relationship, the intricacies of personal struggles, and the search for spiritual solace are not matters to be dissected and judged by the outside world.
