The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the addition of 614 seats for MBBS and BDS courses in the second round of NEET UG Counselling 2024. The MCC has published the complete schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2024 on its official website – mcc.nic.in.

The registration and choice filling process for the second round of counselling commenced on September 5, 2024, and will continue until September 10, 2024. Candidates are required to lock their preferred choices by September 10, 2024. The NEET UG Counselling 2024 Round 2 Seat allotment result will be declared on September 13, 2024. Candidates who are allotted seats in round 2 will need to report to their assigned colleges from September 14 to September 20, 2024.

In a significant development, 453 candidates have been provisionally converted from Indian to NRI status based on the scrutiny of documents submitted to the MCC. However, these candidates will be considered under the NRI quota upon submission of their original documents at the time of reporting to the allotted college.

Eligibility for Round 2: Candidates who qualified for NEET UG 2024 are eligible to register for the second round. Candidates who were allotted seats in the first round but had their seat cancelled during the document verification process at the time of reporting for admission will also be considered for the second round, provided that seats are available in the relevant category.
