  • Modi accuses J&K dynasties of corruption and separatism.
  • He promises development and full statehood for J&K.
  • BJP vows to return and rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a fiery address at a BJP rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, launched a scathing attack on the three political families of the Gandhis, Abdullahs, and Muftis, accusing them of perpetuating the woes of the region for seven decades. He painted the upcoming assembly elections as a contest between these dynastic families and the aspirations of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, urging voters to embrace change and break free from the grip of entrenched political dynasties.

Modi, the first Prime Minister to visit Doda in 47 years, emphasized the BJP's commitment to restoring full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, addressing apprehensions among the people. He, however, cautioned the populace against those who have exploited the region for their vested interests, referencing the three dynasties that have dominated the political landscape for decades. He claimed that these families have been responsible for the region's suffering, fostering separatism and undermining its development. He vividly depicted a past where fear gripped the region, with shops closing at sunset and even the Congress Home Minister fearing to visit Lal Chowk.

Modi highlighted the positive changes witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, crediting the youth for playing a pivotal role in the region's progress. He emphasized the BJP's commitment to creating a peaceful, developed, and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, outlining the party's vision for the region's future. He promised a white paper to deliver justice to victims of terrorism, enhanced financial security for women through annual payments, and a significant job creation initiative. He also highlighted the BJP's commitment to the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley, a key aspect of its manifesto.
