Kohli Breaks Tendulkar's Record, Dominates Test
  • Virat Kohli surpasses Sachin Tendulkar's record.
  • Kohli reaches 27,000 international runs fastest.
  • India dominates Bangladesh in Test match.

Virat Kohli, a prominent figure in the Indian cricket team, has achieved another milestone in his illustrious career. During the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur, he became the fastest cricketer to amass 27,000 international runs. This remarkable achievement saw Kohli surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record of 623 innings, achieving this feat in just 594 innings. Kohli's accomplishment makes him the only cricketer to reach 27,000 international runs in under 600 innings, surpassing other renowned players like Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara.

The match itself saw India dominate Bangladesh. The Indian team's bowlers, led by Ravichandran Ashwin's two-wicket haul, reduced Bangladesh to a fragile 26 for two in their second innings. This dominance comes after impressive performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, who contributed aggressive fifties in India's first innings. Jaiswal's 71 runs off 52 balls and Rahul's 68 runs off 43 balls propelled India to a commanding declaration of 285 for nine, granting them a lead of 52 runs. Virat Kohli himself added a fluent 47 runs off 35 balls to the Indian total.

Despite Bangladesh's initial struggle, the team showcased resilience through veteran left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan's four-wicket haul (4/78) and off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz's (4/41) contribution. However, India's aggressive batting style, scoring runs at an average of over eight runs per over, proved too strong for Bangladesh to handle. This performance followed Bangladesh's earlier first innings collapse, where they were bundled out for 233 runs. As the match progressed, India's dominance in both batting and bowling solidified their hold on the second Test against Bangladesh.
