The current request focuses on specific construction roles, including framework, iron bending, plastering, and ceramic tiling. To ensure the selection of qualified candidates, Israeli officials will be conducting tests in India next week. The second recruitment drive for construction workers will take place in Maharashtra, a state known for its construction industry. Additionally, Israel seeks 5,000 caregivers who have completed their high school education, a caregiving course, and have a minimum of 1,000 hours of work experience. This emphasis on specialized qualifications reflects the government's commitment to selecting workers who can effectively contribute to the Israeli workforce.
The National Skill Development Corporation of India is actively involved in this recruitment drive, reaching out to state governments to facilitate training and orientation for the selected workers. The framework agreement on temporary employment of Indians signed in May 2023 provides the legal framework for this program. The selected construction workers will receive a monthly salary of 1.92 lakh along with a bonus, indicating the potential for economic benefits for the recruited individuals.
