Hrithik Roshan, renowned Bollywood actor, has taken to social media to express his admiration for the recently released horror-comedy film, Stree 2. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has been a box office success, garnering praise from both audiences and critics alike. Roshan, known for his occasional film reviews, highlighted the impressive feat of the filmmakers in expanding the original Stree storyline into a wider cinematic universe.
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Roshan applauded the Stree 2 team, stating, "It is such a happy time for our Cinema with Stree 2 setting new benchmarks for all of us to look up to. Stree part 1 was brilliant and the idea of taking that seed and building a universe and watching it all come together in Stree 2 is applause-worthy!" He further commended the hard work of producer Dinesh Vijan, director Amar Kaushik, and writer Niren Bhatt, concluding his message with a heartfelt wish for more such cinematic successes in the future.
Stree 2 is part of Maddock Films' expanding supernatural universe, which includes other popular titles like Bhediya and Munjya. Fans were delighted by Varun Dhawan's cameo appearance in Stree 2, fueling speculation about which sequel will hit theaters next – Stree 3 or Bhediya 2. Rajkummar Rao, during an interview with Bollywood Hungama, weighed in on the matter, suggesting that Bhediya 2 might be released before Stree 3, given its current production status.
Apart from his praise for Stree 2, Hrithik Roshan is reportedly being considered for the role of Kaleen Bhaiyya in a Mirzapur movie adaptation. This would be a significant departure from the iconic character originally portrayed by Pankaj Tripathi, marking a potential shift for the character on the big screen. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in the action film Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone. He is set to appear in War 2 alongside Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Hrithik Roshan's appreciation for Stree 2 reflects the growing trend of established actors recognizing and celebrating the successes of their peers in the industry.
