The brutal murder of Nadir Shah, a gym owner in Delhi's upscale Greater Kailash area, has exposed a complex web of gang rivalry, extortion, and vengeance. Shah, of Afghan origin, was shot dead on Thursday night, becoming the latest victim in the city's escalating gang violence. According to sources, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for its ruthless activities, targeted Shah because he refused to pay a Rs 5 crore extortion demand leveled against his business partner, Kunal Chhabra.
Shah's refusal to succumb to the Bishnoi gang's demands proved fatal. The gang, driven by a mix of greed and the desire for retribution, meticulously orchestrated his murder. Shah's alleged friendship with two South Delhi gangsters, Ravi Gangwal and Rohit Chaudhary, proved instrumental in the Bishnoi gang's plan. These gangsters were known enemies of Hashim Baba, another notorious gangster operating in North East Delhi. Rohit Godara, a key member of the Bishnoi gang, capitalized on this rivalry, skillfully weaving together a deadly conspiracy.
Godara strategically roped in Hashim Baba, who was already incensed with Shah for past threats. Baba, despite being incarcerated in Tihar Jail, managed to orchestrate the murder from behind bars. He brought in Randeep, a US-based gangster from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and his associates to carry out the execution. Shah's past involvement in illegal activities and his business dealings in Dubai also contributed to the web of animosity surrounding him. The murder serves as a stark reminder of the deep-rooted gang culture that continues to plague Delhi, where power struggles, extortion, and vendetta killings are commonplace. The authorities face an uphill battle in combating these criminal networks, and the city's residents remain vulnerable to the relentless cycle of violence.
