The directive comes in response to a series of disturbing incidents involving food adulteration, including the viral video of a teenager spitting on rotis in a Saharanpur eatery and a Ghaziabad juice vendor being arrested for allegedly serving urine-laced beverages.
The new measures mandate the installation of CCTV cameras in all hotels and restaurants, a move aimed at deterring such unsanitary practices and providing evidence in case of future transgressions.
