  • Registration deadline is October 4, 2024 for schools.
  • Exam fees vary by location and student category.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the registration window for the upcoming CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams scheduled for 2025. Students currently enrolled in grades 10 and 12 must complete the necessary registration process to participate in these crucial examinations. The responsibility of registering students falls on the affiliated schools, which must submit the List of Candidates (LOC) through the online platform Pareeksha Sangam at parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in.

The registration period is open until October 4, 2024, giving schools ample time to complete the registration process for all eligible students. However, the board has emphasized the importance of timely submission of the LOC, as any delay beyond October 4th will incur a late fee of Rs. 2000 per student. To ensure smooth and timely completion, schools must gather all the required information and complete the online registration process within the stipulated timeframe.

The application fee for the board exams varies depending on the student's location and category. For Indian students, the fee is Rs. 1,500 per student for five subjects, with an additional Rs. 300 per subject for any extra subjects taken. Students from Nepal are required to pay Rs. 5,000 for five subjects and Rs. 1,000 per subject for additional subjects. For students residing in other countries, the fee is Rs. 10,000 for five subjects, with an extra charge of Rs. 2,000 per subject per student for any additional subjects. A concession is available for SC/ST candidates who need to pay only Rs. 1,200 for five subjects.

The CBSE has emphasized the importance of accurate information provided in the registration forms, as this information will be used in official documents such as mark sheets and roll numbers. Any inaccuracies or discrepancies can lead to complications and inconsistencies in CBSE data. Therefore, schools must ensure that all details are verified and correctly submitted. Students, too, should carefully check the subject codes entered for their chosen subjects, as any modifications will be prohibited after registration.

The CBSE Board Examinations for 2025 are tentatively scheduled to begin on February 15th, 2025. The official date sheet is expected to be released sometime between November and December 2024. To avoid any last-minute chaos or confusion, schools and students are advised to refer to the official notification released by the CBSE on their website for the latest updates and information related to the board examinations. By following the guidelines and instructions provided, students can ensure a smooth and hassle-free registration process for the upcoming CBSE Board Exams.
