The collapse, which occurred around 5 pm, resulted in the crushing of a truck parked near the building, highlighting the severity of the incident. The building, which was being used as a godown, succumbed to structural failure, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.

Rescue efforts were immediately mobilized, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), fire department, police, and revenue department converging at the scene. They worked tirelessly to extricate survivors from the rubble, and as of the latest reports, 28 individuals have been successfully rescued. However, the grim reality persists, with several people still feared trapped under the debris. These individuals remain a priority for rescue workers, who are continuing their efforts with a sense of urgency and determination.
