The release of the highly anticipated trailer for Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara: Part 1’, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, sparked a wave of reactions from audiences, ranging from enthusiastic anticipation to critical analysis. However, it was a particular review by two YouTubers that caught the attention of actor Vishwak Sen, prompting him to voice his strong disapproval. The video clip, shared on the Instagram page Telugu Memes, showcased a live discussion from a YouTube channel called Ragadi. The YouTubers, in their critique, highlighted several aspects of the trailer they found unsatisfactory. Their comments included criticism regarding Jr NTR’s appearance and disappointment with a specific scene depicting him riding a shark.
This critique did not sit well with Vishwak Sen, who, known for his outspoken nature, took to Instagram to express his displeasure. In a heated comment, he wrote, “Na Peru karab cheyyadanike puttadu veeedu, fist goda ki support lekunda 2 mins kurcho nuvvu, tharvatha, cinema ni, audience ni uddariddu kani. Kaaalthundhi naku kani, already kalipoyyina face needi em cheddam, nuvve matladali andham gurinchi.” (This man exists to ruin my name. You first sit without taking the support of a wall for 2 minutes, later, you can discuss how to make better cinema for the audience. Just looking at your face makes me mad, so you should be the last one to talk about someone’s looks.) He emphasized that the person he was addressing shares his name, Vishwak, adding fuel to the intensity of his statement.
It's worth noting that Vishwak Sen is a self-proclaimed fan of Jr NTR and maintains a positive relationship with him. In the past, Jr NTR has praised Vishwak, alongside Siddhu Jonnalagadda, as rising stars with the potential to shape the future of the Telugu film industry. At an event, Jr NTR stated, “I always believed that Vishwak Sen and Siddhu would play a very instrumental role in taking the industry forward with fresh ideas and content. And looking at them both today, I feel very proud. We need daredevils like these to take the industry to the next level.” This statement underscores the respect and admiration Jr NTR holds for Vishwak Sen, making his defense of the actor even more impactful.
