Passport Seva Portal Maintenance Disrupts Services
  • Passport Seva portal will be offline for maintenance from Thursday night to Monday morning.
  • Services at Kochis Passport Seva Kendras will be disrupted during this time.
  • Appointments scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled and applicants will be informed via email and SMS.

The Passport Seva portal, a crucial online platform for passport applications and related services, is scheduled for technical maintenance, resulting in disruptions to services across various locations in India. This maintenance period, spanning from Thursday night to Monday morning, will affect the functionality of the portal and associated services.

In Kochi, the maintenance will disrupt operations at two of the ten Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) in Ernakulam. Public and police access to these centers will be restricted during the maintenance period. Individuals with appointments scheduled for Friday will receive new dates via email and SMS notifications, ensuring minimal disruption to their passport applications.

The maintenance will also impact passport services in Madurai, Tirunelveli, and other locations. The regional passport office and passport seva kendras in these areas will be non-operational on August 30 due to the technical maintenance. Individuals with confirmed appointments on this date are advised to reschedule their appointments. The Regional Passport Office (RPO) Madurai has provided contact numbers (0452-2521204 or 0452-2521205) for further inquiries.

The Passport Seva portal in Thiruvananthapuram district will also be unavailable for four days, from 8 pm on August 29 to 6 am on September 2, due to technical maintenance. All passport and PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) appointments scheduled for August 30 have been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Applicants will be notified of the new appointment dates via SMS. The main office in Thiruvananthapuram will not entertain any inquiries on August 30.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced a similar maintenance schedule for the Passport India website and Passport Seva Programme system, affecting various entities including Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), Bureau of Immigration, India Security Press, Department of Posts, and police authorities. This maintenance, from 8 pm on Thursday to 6 am on Monday, will result in the closure of all Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs), Post Office Seva Kendras (POPSKs), and the main office under RPO Pune on Friday. Appointments scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled, with applicants informed accordingly.
