The city of Hyderabad is bracing for heavy rains, prompting Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to issue a directive to all government department officials to be on high alert. This comes after a forecast of intense rainfall predicted for the region. The Chief Minister, emphasizing the importance of preparedness, held a teleconference with district collectors, superintendents of police (SPs), police commissioners, and corporation and municipal commissioners. He stressed the need for immediate action, directing officials to ensure that personnel from revenue, municipal, electricity, medical and health, and police departments remain on duty. The CM issued a clear instruction: “Take measures to ensure untoward incidents do not take place and shift people in low-lying areas to relief camps immediately.”

In Pune, the Municipal Corporation has advised residents in flood-prone areas to prepare for potential relocation.
