Ranaut's contentious comments stem from a recent interview she gave to Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar. In the interview, she suggested that India could have experienced a situation akin to Bangladesh had it not been for the country's strong leadership. She further alleged that instances of violence and sexual assault occurred during the farmers' protests against the now-repealed farm laws. Moreover, she implicated China and the United States in a supposed conspiracy surrounding the protests.
This isn't the first time Kangana Ranaut has sparked controversy with her pronouncements. For instance, she expressed concern about an alleged rise in terrorism and extremism in Punjab, drawing a connection to the farmers' protests. Additionally, Ranaut made the controversial claim that Subash Chandra Bose was India's first Prime Minister, not Jawaharlal Nehru, despite historical evidence to the contrary. Despite the public backlash and criticism she has faced, Ranaut has shown no remorse for her statements, claiming she is unafraid of those who have wronged others and are dishonest.
