A train derailment in Jharkhand early this morning has left 12 people injured. The Howara-CSMT Express, bound for Mumbai, derailed near Badabamboo, approximately 80 kilometers from Jamshedpur. The incident occurred when 18 coaches of the train, including 16 passenger coaches, one power car, and one pantry car, came off the tracks. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site, and a rescue and relief operation is currently underway.

Senior Railways official Om Prakash Charan stated that a goods train had also derailed nearby, but it remains unclear whether the two accidents occurred concurrently. The injured passengers received immediate first aid from the Railways' medical team and have since been transported to Chakradharpur for further treatment. The exact cause of the derailment is still being investigated by authorities.
