Adani Group Companies' Q1 Results Preview
  • ACC's Q1 net profit expected to fall 19.4% YoY
  • Adani Wilmar's Q1 revenue and Ebitda expected to grow
  • Adani Total Gas shares gain ahead of Q1 results

The article focuses on the upcoming June quarter results of three Adani Group companies: Adani Total Gas Ltd, Adani Wilmar Ltd, and ACC Ltd. The share prices of these companies have been trading higher in anticipation of these results.

Emkay Global analysts have predicted a 19.4% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit for ACC, with sales expected to fall by 5.1% YoY. This decline is attributed to a projected 92 basis points YoY reduction in Ebitda margin. While ACC's volumes are expected to increase by 2% YoY, realisations could decline by 1% QoQ. Despite this, the total cost per tonne is expected to remain flattish QoQ, resulting in an 11% QoQ decline in Ebitda per tonne.

Nuvama Institutional Equities forecasts a 12.5% growth in Q1 revenue and a 196% increase in Ebitda for Adani Wilmar, aligning with their initial expectations. The projected expansion in gross margin stands at 375 basis points, reaching 12.9%, while Ebitda margin is expected to rise by 165 basis points YoY to 2.7%. Adani Wilmar's standalone Q1 volumes are anticipated to rise by 13% YoY, with edible oils growing by 10% YoY. The Food & FMCG business is projected to witness strong growth, with 45% value growth, while industry essentials are expected to post flat value growth due to negative pricing. Adani Wilmar's alternative channels are predicted to achieve 19% YoY volume growth in Q1.

Adani Wilmar is actively pursuing substantial growth opportunities through effective sales and distribution strategies in the GT market, according to Nuvama. While no earnings preview was available for Adani Total Gas, its shares were trading 1.10% higher at Rs 897.95.
