  • Nine killed, including a two-year-old toddler.
  • Security forces launch massive manhunt for three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.

The recent terrorist attack in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir, has sent shockwaves across the nation. The incident, which targeted a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims, claimed the lives of nine innocent people, including a two-year-old child.

The attack was carried out by at least three foreign terrorists, who opened fire on the bus, causing the driver to lose control and veer off the road, falling into a deep gorge. Eyewitnesses reported that the terrorists continued to fire on the mangled bus, inflicting maximum damage.

Survivors of the attack recounted the horror they witnessed, describing how they played dead in order to avoid being targeted by the terrorists. One survivor, Santosh Kumar Verma, witnessed the driver's head falling on the steering wheel as the bus hurtled towards the gorge.

Security forces have launched a massive manhunt for the terrorists responsible for the attack, with 11 teams of police, army, and CRPF personnel working jointly to neutralize them. The operation is being carried out in difficult terrain, with dense forest, lack of water sources, and steep slopes posing challenges for the forces.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, initially claimed responsibility for the attack but later retracted its statement. The authorities have not ruled out the possibility of a fourth person being present at the spot, acting as a lookout for the terrorists.

The attack has been condemned by political leaders and citizens alike, with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha calling it a despicable attempt to instigate turmoil in the region. The incident highlights the ongoing threat of terrorism in the region and the need for continued vigilance and security measures to protect innocent lives.
