Modi Stakes Claim to Form Government After NDA Win

Narendra Modi, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has once again staked his claim to form the government after leading the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Modi met with President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and presented his claim to form the government.

Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party on Friday, paving the way for his third term as Prime Minister. He will be sworn in as Prime Minister for the third time on June 9 at 6 pm. Speaking to the media after meeting with President Murmu, Modi said, "The 18th Lok Sabha is a new energy, a young energy, and a Lok Sabha with the intention to do something. This is the first election after the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. In a way, these are the 25 years, which are the 25 years of our Amrit Kaal."

Modi expressed gratitude to the countrymen for giving the NDA government the opportunity to serve the country for the third time. He said, "I once again express my heartfelt gratitude to the countrymen for giving this opportunity."

After meeting with President Murmu, Prime Minister Modi said, "I want to assure the people that we will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to fulfill their aspirations in our next term."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "I assure the countrymen that in the 18th Lok Sabha, in our five-year term, we will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the country with the same speed and dedication... Today morning the NDA meeting took place and all the NDA colleagues have once again chosen me for this responsibility and all the NDA colleagues have informed the President about it... The President had called me and allowed me to work as the Prime Minister-designate and informed me for the swearing-in ceremony."

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi said, "In this tenure of 10 years, India has emerged as a world friend for the world. Its benefits are now starting to show and I am sure that the next 5 years are going to be very useful for India in the global environment. The world is going through many crises, many tensions, disasters... We Indians are fortunate that despite such big crises, today we are known as the world's fastest growing economy. The development is being appreciated in the world."

Earlier in the day, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narendra Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party on Friday. Thus, Modi will now become the Prime Minister of the country for the third time.
