Modi Meets President, Receives Invitation to Form Government

BJP leader Narendra Modi met President Droupadi Murmu after being elected as the leader of the NDA's parliamentary party and presenting his claim to form the government.

At 6 pm, Modi arrived at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where the President greeted him and welcomed him with a picture of Lord Jagannath.

Subsequently, the President invited him to be appointed as the Prime Minister and form the government.

The NDA will now form the new government, with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for June 9.

On this occasion, acting PM Modi addressed the media on Friday evening and shared the details of receiving the invitation to form the government.

Modi stated that the 18th Lok Sabha is driven by a new, youthful energy and a strong determination to make a difference.

He highlighted that this is the first election since the commencement of the 'Amrit Mahotsav' of India's independence, and the next 25 years will be crucial in fulfilling the dreams of the nation by the time it celebrates its centenary in 2047.

Modi expressed confidence that India's global image has improved, and the country has emerged as a 'Vishwabandhu' (global friend).

He emphasized that the NDA meeting held earlier in the day resulted in his selection to lead the party once again, and this information was conveyed to the President.

The President then summoned Modi, appointed him as the Prime Minister, and informed him about the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for June 9.
