The formation of the Modi 3.0 cabinet is underway, with intense jostling for key ministerial portfolios.
The swearing-in ceremony of the NDA government is scheduled for Sunday, and all eyes are on who will be appointed to the top positions.
The BJP is expected to retain control of the most important ministries, including Home, Finance, Defence, External Affairs, Road Transport, Railways, IT, and Education.
However, the top alliance partners, the JD(U) and TDP, are pushing for their own demands.
The JD(U) has expressed interest in the Railways portfolio, while the TDP is seeking the Information Technology ministry.
Sources indicate that the JD(U) and TDP are likely to receive an equal number of ministerial berths, despite the TDP winning more Lok Sabha seats.
Both parties have also requested special category status for their respective states, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized that he will have the final say in assigning ministerial portfolios.
