Mamaearth Co-Founder Ghazal Alagh Responds to X User's Call to Boycott Products

Co-founder of the Indian personal care brand Mamaearth, Ghazal Alagh, has responded to a user on the social media platform X who urged people to discard Mamaearth products.

In a tweet, Aditi (@SassySoul), who has a substantial following on X, posted a picture of Mamaearth products with the caption, 'If you see these products anywhere, immediately pick them up, throw them in the dustbin, and run away.'

Alagh responded to Aditi's tweet, expressing her regret over Aditi's negative experience and offering to address any specific concerns.

Alagh stated, 'Just sorry you woke up with a lot of hate. I hope you feel better soon.' She continued, 'I would have loved to address if there was a problem. But I couldn't find any apart from you hopping onto a Twitter trend and finding a picture of the products.'

Alagh emphasized her commitment to addressing any feedback or issues with Mamaearth products, inviting Aditi to share her concerns directly.

Following Alagh's response, Aditi elaborated on her stance in a separate post, describing the products as ineffective.

Aditi wrote, 'You guys can't handle honest reviews. You are being defensive here, but I'm glad that you are ready to address the issue. This is not just my experience alone, if you check people have said the same thing. Their experience has been the same.'

Alagh's response and Aditi's subsequent elaboration have generated significant discussion on social media.

Mamaearth, founded by Alagh and her husband Varun Alagh, has faced scrutiny in the past over the effectiveness and safety of its products.

The company has maintained that its products undergo rigorous testing and adhere to industry standards.

The recent social media exchange between Alagh and Aditi has brought renewed attention to the ongoing debate surrounding the efficacy of Mamaearth products.
