Maharashtra Exit Polls 2024: BJP Projected to Win 17 Seats
As the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections concludes, exit polls conducted by various organizations offer insights into the anticipated outcome in key states, including Maharashtra.
The state of Maharashtra has witnessed a closely contested electoral battle, with the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Shiv Sena (Shinde) factions vying for dominance, while the NCP has been divided between factions led by Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar.
Exit polls have projected a close race between the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, comprising the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharad Pawar), and the Mahayuti alliance, consisting of the BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde), and NCP (Ajit Pawar).
According to the ABP-C voter's survey, the MVA is expected to secure between 22 and 26 seats, while the Mahayuti alliance is projected to win a similar number of seats.
The BJP is anticipated to emerge as the largest party in the state with 17 seats, followed by the Shiv Sena (Shinde) with six seats and the NCP (Ajit Pawar) with one seat.
The MVA's strength is attributed to the Congress, which is projected to win eight seats, and the Thackeray camp of the Shiv Sena, which is expected to secure nine seats.
Meanwhile, the NCP's Pawar camp is projected to win six seats.
One of the key highlights of the exit polls is the predicted setback for Ajit Pawar in the Baramati constituency.
TV9 polstrat exit polls suggest that Ajit Pawar's wife, Sunetra, may face defeat at the hands of Sharad Pawar's daughter, Supriya Sule, who is contesting from the NCP (SP).
The final results of the Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections are eagerly awaited and will provide a clearer picture of the political landscape in the state.
