Pavithra Gowda, a Kannada actor who has worked in both films and television, has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in Bengaluru. Gowda's co-star and girlfriend, Darshan Thoogudeepa, was also arrested as one of the key accused in the case.
According to police sources, the victim, 33-year-old Renuka Swamy, had posted offensive comments on Gowda's social media account, accusing her of causing a rift between Thoogudeepa and his wife. Swamy allegedly used "objectionable language" and harassed Gowda, leading to her arrest and the arrest of 12 other individuals, including Thoogudeepa.
Gowda, who made her film debut in 2016, has starred in several Kannada films and television shows. She is also a model and artist, and runs a boutique named Red Carpet Studio 777, specializing in traditional sarees and outfits. The actor caused a stir on social media earlier this year when she shared a video on Instagram showing pictures of herself and Thoogudeepa, celebrating what she described as "10 years of our relationship." Thoogudeepa has been married to Vijaya Lakshmi for over 20 years.
